| Abstract: | The study has the main attention on roles of Kewang in preserving the living environment related to socio-economic condition of Kewang in executing Sasi. Thus the study has purpose at knowing effects of socio-economic rate on kewang to the implementation of sasi. The study had been done by using survey method that meant to be used to describe tendencies studied and wants to study relations among the tendencies. The tendencies had been studied among them are socio-economic condition, control of kewang to the environment and law enforcement done by kewang. Results obtained of the study Generally, the better the socio-economy condition of kewang the more responsible they will execute the sasi laws. It is concluded that any differences of ages and education levels do not influence kewang in executing control and law enforcement of sasi. Nevertheless the higher the kewang incomes the bigger and better their responsibilities in doing the control and law enforcement of sasi. In addition a kind of working as farmers more determine their responsibilities in implementing the control and law enforcement of sasi than kewang who works as fisherman. |
