Abstract:	The objectives of this research are (1) to indentify economic values of mangrove ; (2) to estimate total economics value (TEV) of use-value and non use value of mangroves ; and (3) to describe alternative management options in terms of optimization and sustainability. Results of this research are as follows : (1) functions and benefits of mangrove ecosystem direct use value were fuel wood collection for the subsistence needs of local villagers, wild animals use by human for subsistence purposes ; indirect use were as follows: natural barrier to shoreline erosion, higly nutritious food source for animals; (2) The TEV of mangrove was Rp 24,887,887 per year, consisting of direct use value of Rp 11,299,500 per year and indirect use of Rp 9,098,077 per year ; (3) At the alternative management second option of the best
