Abstract: The marketing of Kisar sweet orange by Lebelau community is largely executed at home while waiting for traders to purchase the production. The determination of Kisar Sweet orange’ price is varies not only determined by production cost and the highest price in market but also by social networks built between The objectives of this research were to investigate social networks in determining Kisar Sweet orange’s price and factors affecting those social networks. This study was performed using the snowball technique with a number of informants was 14 informants. The results showed that social networks between farmers and traders in determining Kisar sweet orange’s price was built on networks of trust, cooperation and social exchanges. Network of trust was formed due to debt, family relationships and repetitive purchases.Network of Cooperation was formed by theprice agreements made collectively. Social exchange was built due to reciprocal relationship and interplay between farmers and traders. The results also showed that the factors influencing the social network were social factors associated with social relationships (kinship) between farmers and traders, economic factors associated with the certainty of sales as well as cultural factors through communication activities in Kisar sweet orange pre and post harvesting.
