Abstract: Colorectal cancer is a disease in which cells in the colon or rectum become abnormal and dividing without control, forming a mass called tumor. Colorectal cancer is the third most common of malignancy and the fourth leading cause of cancer death in the world. In Indonesia amount of colorectal cancer was sequence to 9 (4,92%). The causes of colorectal cancer are interction between environmental factor and genetic factor. This study aimed to know the characteristics of colorectal cancer at RSUD Dr. M Haulussy Ambon in January 2012–June 2013. This study used descriptive retrospective research based on the secondary data from patients medical record which were taken at Dr. M Haulussy hospital Ambon period January 2012–June 2013. Population and sample amounted to 29 patients (total sampling). This study shows that the highest incidence of colorectal cancer was in group of age 40–50 years old (34,5%) and female (69%). Rectum was the most frequent tumor location (69%). It can be concluded that most of colorectal cancer was found in fourth–fifth decade, women had higher risk to get colorectal cancer, rectum was the most common site of colorectal cancer.
