Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of macroeconomic variables that the money supply, inflation, government investment, land transport and marine transport on the level of poverty in the border area. The border area of Merauke is an area that is rather difficult to reach so many obstacles encountered in the border area of poverty reduction. Long distribution channels is a unity that inseperable in the formation of the final price. The analytical method used in this research is multiple regression with the variables include the economy against poverty border region. The results showed that the variables included in the model as variables that influence poverty reduction related final goods price formation in the border area of Merauke is the amount of money supply, sea transport, the rate of inflation, ground transportation and government investment. The variable amount of money supply, sea transportation, land transportation and government investment and significant negative effect on the suppression of poverty level on the establishment of the final price of basic commodities district about the border, while the inflation rate positive effect on poverty
