Abstract: The aims of this research is to analyse weekly pattern of the windwith the waves’ variations and characteristics in Moluccas watersduring east monsoon. In this research we used wind speed date for zonal and meridional components from the ERS satelite of IRFREMER research institution. The dynamic of the wind in Moluccas waters have weekly varied, with the highest speed of 8.97 m/sobservered in the second week of July in Banda Sea and with the lowest speed of 3.05 m/s occurs in the first week of June in Seram Sea. According to the Beaufort scale, the overal wind speedis positoned at 2-5 scale with the speed of 0.3–10.7 m/s speed. Dominant wind speed is at scale 4 with medium blow generating small waves then long waves. Banda Sea waters have always generate much higher and bigger waves in comparison to waves fromSeram Sea waters. The highest average waves is 2.75m formed in the second week of July, while the average shortest waves of 0.30m is created in the first week. If classification is based on the period of the wave during east monsoon, the whole stations of Moluccas waters shows similar waves’ period of 0.9-10.2 second and swell waves as a result.
