| Abstract: | Local wisdom is formed because of the relationship between traditional communities and ecosystems around them. Tnyafar in the Yamdena languages is home gardens. Interest Tnyafar establishment is to carry out activities in this plantation and marine business. The purpose of the study were to determine the process of Tnyafar establishment and the influence of Tnyafar in fullfilling the need of family food. The analytical tool used was a qualitative descriptive analysis. Data were collected using questionnaires and direct interviews with respondents. The results showed that the process started when community began to form a new garden to do gardening and other farming activities. Generally the begining of Tnyafarestablihment was done by some families then followed by otherfamilies with the same purpose which was to do gardening in the same location. Beside gardening farmers also built temporary house in that location. This was done because the distance between the garden and their village was too far. Moreover, by the establishing of temporary house and populated by community, the Tnyafar board was formed. Other research results showed that the function of was very important to fulfill family food as said by 90 persen respondents. |
