Abstract: Recently sea cucumber H. scabra population has been declined due to over exploitation in the nature. An asexual reproduction method, fission is thought could be used to increase seed production of H. scabra. This study aimed to evaluate fissiparous of H. scabra of two different sizes that induced by tie location on dividing of body, wound recovery and survival rate of new individu. About 24 individu sea cucumbers of two groups sized 30-50g and 59-113g were tied onto anterior, middle and posterior part of body. The result showed that inducing fission on H. scabra through the method was succeed which is mean that all individu sea cucumbers can divide into 2 parts. The body size and the location of H. scabra affect the time spent of separation, wound healing and the survival rate of new individual H. scabra but do not influence the separation of body part of H. scabra. Large group size 59-113g has better ability to wound recovery and has higher survival rate than small group size 30-50g. Wound healing and survival rate of the new individu H. scabra generated by posterior are better than other body parts.
