Abstract: The study was aimed to analyze fishermen exchange rate, analyze economic discrepancy and formulate a strategy to reduce economic discrepancy of coastal communities in Hutumuri, Rutong and Leahari villages. The primary data collected at February to April. Results indicates that the highest fishermen exchange rate in February is 3 and the lowest is 0,73. Fishermen exchange rate distribution in March, the highest is 3,65 and the lowest is 0,61. In April, the highest is 3 and lowest is 0,71. Fishermen Exchange Index (INTN) average for February is 44,98%, March is 48,94% and April is 52,77. To determine the level of discrepancy is used Gini coefficient and Lorensz curve. Average level of discrepancy is relatively low. Therefore, this study produced an intervention strategy to reduce level of discrepancy through efforts to empower sustainable fishing communities.
