Abstract: The aim of this study was to analyze bioecology aspect of seagrass community in coastal waters of Suli village. Research showed that there was found eight species of seagrass which are Cymodocea rotundata, Cymodocea serrulata, Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, Syringodium isoetifolium, Halophila ovalis, Halodule uninervis, and Halodule pinifolia. Seagrass density value ranged between 0,75 shoot/m2 - 93,64 shoot/m2. Seagrass cover percentage value ranged between 2,63 % - 24,48 %. The highest of species density and cover percentage was C. rotundata. The lowest species density and cover percentage was H. pinifolia. Status of seagrass beds in coastal waters of Suli village categorized as rich/healthy. Result of substrate analyze showed that substrate composition was dominated by sand, then stone, and silt was the lowest component. Water quality parameters during the study still meet the range for seagrass growth.
