Abstract: An experimental study was conducted to investigate the effect of heat input for forced convection of heat transfer characteristic on clove drying oven. Investigation was made on the range of varying heat load (Q*) at 300 to 500 W with room temperature clove 333 degree Kelvin and surrounding temperature at 28 degree, of the heat transfer rate heater resulted in the increase of acceleration at 123.33 W or 81.31 percentage with an upward gradient is significant. Experimental result shows that maximum heat transfer heater at heat load 500 W or 42.37 percentages heat transfer by air. Reynolds number (Re), Nusselt number (Nu) and coefficient heat transfer convection (h) decreased with enlargement Q* i.e. 1.02, 1.01 and 1.00 percentages, respectively.
