Abstract: | This study was conducted in Tuhaha village, Saparua Sub district, Central Maluku where arenga palm trees grow abundantly. The objectives of this study was to identify the physical land condition where arenga palm trees are grown, including rainfall, temperature, humidity, soil depth, texture, soil pH, slope steepness, erosion hazard and altitude. The method used in this study was survey method with synthetic approach and free observation distance survey. The result of the study showed that a wide range of physical land condition influence the growth of arenga palm in the study area. Arenga palm trees grow in different physical land condition, the temperatures are 26-27.5 oC, rainfall of 2803,66 mm year-1, air humidity range 81-96.4%, fine to coarse soil texture, very acid to slightly acid soil reaction (pH), very shallow to very deep solum, imperfect to well soil drainages, flat to steep slopes, and slight erosion hazard. |
