Abstract: Toxicity testing has been done of ethanol leaf extract of lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) on mortality Culex sp mosquitoes as vectors of filariasis. Research objective is to determine the concentration of ethanol extract of leaves of lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) is effective against mosquito Culex sp mortality and LC50 for 24 hours. This study used completely randomized design with 4 treatments extracts are: 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.3%, 0.4% and 1 negative control group with 3 replications. The results were analyzed using one-way analysis of variance and followed by LSD test at the 0.05% level. Data analysis using SPSS 15.0 for Windows. The results showed that the ethanol extract of lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) has a toxicity against Culex sp mosquitoes are characterized by an increased number of larval mortality. Based on the results of testing the concentration of ethanol extract of leaves of lavender concentration of 0.5% able to kill 93.3% of mosquitoes, and the effective concentrations used to kill 50% of test mosquitoes at 0.259%. Therefore, the ethanol extract of lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) was developed as a potential mosquito vector of filariasis.
