Abstract: The development of shell pearl handicraft industry in Ambon is focused on continuous process improvement to produce quality products that has standardized. Therefore, it is essential in implementing community services activities regarding to design of quality management system of shell pearl handicraft industry at Batumerah village - case study on CV. Mutiara Indah and Souvenir Hussein. The design and implementation of Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) documents were started in some stages that were; introducing the project, collecting data and information, creating the documents of standard operation procedure, validating the documents, legalizing the documents, implementing the documents, doing feedback of the documents and improving the documents. The two results of this community services were (1) twenty of SOP and its supporting documents have been documented and divided on four sections that were (a) five of documents management department; acceptance of target labour, allocation of target labour, partnerships cooperation, order receipts and product reorder. (b) five of documents financial department; income statement, general journal, down payment receipts, payment of labour's salary and procurement of production equipment. (c) seven of documents of production department; ordering of raw material, ordering of frame, quality inspection, utilization of raw material, production process and modification of end R product.(d) Three of documents of marketing departments; packing and shipping, customer complaint and product promotion. (2) business administration has been organized and average time on finishing of customer order between 1R2 weeks was earlier than 2 weeks (standard of time finished by labour).
