| Abstract: | Disturbances on food security will occur if the income does not support the production (insufficiency), the distribution is stagnant, and purchasing power is not adequate. The objective of this research is to identify household food security through demographic, social economic and cultural factors. Methods used are quantitative methods, namely frequency tables and chi-square analysis followed by binary log regression. The qualitative methods used FGD to analyze the problem and provide a more real field situation. Results obtained from this research are: 1) Social demographic, economic and cultural factors work together and significantly influence the food security of the household. Amongst available variables, it seems that education factor has a significant effect in three villages, namely Adaut, Kandar and Unlah, which showed a similar phenomenon; 2) Economic and social variable that was influential in Watidal was income, and the number of family member in Wowonda and Wunlah. Overall assets owned (house, land, electronic equipment, livestock, boat and motorcycle) also have significant values because these have high equivalent values of money; and 3) the role of women is still very profound in household economy processes, compared with men.
